A challenge for you!

This is my last post this month for National Adoption Month and it comes at you in the form of a challenge.  Over the course of this month many people in the adoption community, including myself, have been posting about adoption, our stories, ways to fund adoptions, types of adoption and resources.  (You can catch my other posts in this series: here, here, here and here.)

Would you please take a few minutes today or this week to brainstorm and pray about how you can get involved?  It could be through orphan prevention, sponsoring a child, helping a ministry who exists to keep families together.  Or it could be through prayer, supporting a ministry financially, exploring adoption more, signing up to be a foster parent, volunteering at a local pregnancy resource center or adoption agency, advocating for birth mothers and helping them get resources to parent and support to do it if they choose, helping someone fund raise to adopt, being a mentor to a child in foster care or who is otherwise underprivileged, etc.  There are so many ways to help orphans and children in need here in the US and abroad.

You don't have to adopt to make a difference.  God made each and every one of us with different skills and abilities, as well as desires in our hearts.  So, do something that you are passionate about--there's a pretty good list of options above but you can also add to it and be creative.

Let me know if I can help connect you with anyone for these things above, or if you have any questions or feedback!
