30 things to do before I'm 30

So, I have just under 2.5 years until I turn 30.  So I decided to come up with a few (30) goals of things to do before I'm 30 years old.  I can't guarantee I can get them all done, but without writing them down I have no chance!  So here they are, some are bigger things and some are smaller...and they are in no particular order really.  :)

I actually started this list back in April after my birthday...and only could come up with 5 or items.  So now it's November and I still can't complete the list...but it's getting there.  I will just add as I think of things.  :)  And if you have any ideas, you should let me know!

1.  Visit Washington DC for the first time.  Completed May 2011.
2.  Climb a 14er.
3.  Do karaoke.

10.  Watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy.  (My sister gave them to me a few years ago and I still haven't actually seen them...with the except of falling asleep my sophomore year of college during the first movie.  So I think it's time to actually see what they are all about!:)
11.  Take a dance class with the hubs.  (We took a tango class when we were dating and had a blast!  Love to do it again!)

Our pumpkin

We still carve a pumpkin or two every year (even though we don't have kids) because it's fun and we both love the roasted seeds.  Plus I guess we are honing our skills as pumpkin carvers. ;)  (jk)  Anyway, since we did a musically themed pumpkin last year, I thought we should do a nerd science/math themed one this year.  Here it is...
Plus it's a real Pumpkin Pi!  :)  LOL

30 days of thanks

As you are aware, it's already November!  How can that really be?!?  I don't know...but alas 'tis true.  Since it is the month of Thanksgiving, I am going to verbalize to my hubby and friends on facebook one thing each day for which I am thankful.  I am thankful for so many things in my life, and I want highlight and pray about a different one each day this month.  But I also want to give God the glory and praise for each of these things, because I am thankful to Him for all He has blessed me with.

So, then I can come into this time of year with a thankful heart!  It wasn't originally my idea though.  So don't give me the credit, I've seen several people do this type of thing on facebook over the years.  If you'd like to join in either by blogging about it or putting up statuses feel free!  Spread the thankful heart!

Reminds me of one of my all time favorite songs...Give thanks...

"Give thanks with a grateful heart.  Give thanks unto the holy one.  Give thanks, because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son...And now, let the weak say "I am strong", let the poor say "I am rich" because of what the Lord has done for us.  Give Thanks."

BTW I will try to update this post daily this month ...

Day 1:  My best friend and hubby J.
Day 2:  My job.
Day 3:  Thankful for a place to call home, with virtually every convenience possible.
