Hello again Spring!

Well, that snow storm did come and dump quite a bit last week. My job was canceled on Wednesday but I did get to work on Friday.

On Saturday, J and I got to go to K's first soccer game of this season, which was nice. It was rather cold and windy though. :/  So it goes in the spring in Colorado though!  :)

We signed our lease for our new apartment that we get to start moving into on my birthday! Woohoo!!

I'm getting back into writing articles online and definitely still cooking up a storm. :) J is working hard on his research and dissertation. I guess that's about it...

Spring, Spring, Spring

Alright, it's spring, but it doesn't really seem like it here. I guess they do say that March is our snowiest month...so I suppose that's it. :) We only got about 5 inches on Friday, but they are predicting 8-12 between this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon. So we'll see...

We had the opportunity to go to two of our nieces' birthday parties this weekend! K turned 9 on the 17th and S will turn 1 on the 30th! So it was fun to see family and celebrate their birthdays. I can't believe K is already 9 though....wow....time flies! :)  Kind of makes me feel old....but at least she was born when I was only 16, and I turned 17 the next month.

I am all better from the strep/virus I had last week, which is good! J is busy with subbing for his advisor this week. We should sign our lease this afternoon, so we should have a home for the summer!! :)

God is good, and reveals his plans one at a time. So I am working on patience as usual. ;)

Snowing in Spring

Well, this week was beautiful and around 65....that is until this morning when the snow came in! It looks like we have a few inches and it is still snowing pretty heavily. So we just may get the 6-12 inches they were predicting! Fine by me I guess....I didn't have to work today and it is Friday. :)

As you probably already know I was sick earlier this week. I had strep throat and a flu like virus. Now I've been on my antibiotic for 4 days and feel much better! :) I guess that's just something that is possible to get when I am subbing in schools with little kiddos.

J has been hard at work on his dissertation and research. He luckily didn't get sick from me. Which is truly a blessing! :)

Our oldest niece K, turned 9 on March 17th! I can't believe she is growing up so fast! Hopefully the roads will be clear enough for us to attend her party on Sunday afternoon. :)

Update on our living situation. We will hopefully be signing a lease for a place to live this summer on Tuesday!  It's a cute apartment in LaPorte, which sounds far away, but is actually way closer to J's work than where we currently live.

It's beginning to look a lot like Spring . . .

It's finally looking like spring here because the snow has melted and we can finally see grass again! J and I went to this great park last weekend and took a wonderful walk around the lake. Today we also got to spend some time outside which was much needed.

We still don't know where we will be living in just over a month from now...but are still trusting God for His provisions. We will still be in Fort Collins until sometime in July or so...but our lease ends on May 7th...so we'll see... I'm sure God will work it all out though, He always does! :)

After a couple of very slow weeks in the subbing field I had the opportunity to work on Thursday and Friday at a local Elementary. I will also be subbing for the same class on Monday and Tuesday. Although it's been a huge challenge, I think it's been a great experience and definitely a growing experience to substitute teach! I highly recommend that people do it, even if just for a short while! :)

Anyway, I don't think I have much more of anything to say...just wanted to give a little insight to our lives for now. :)
